...yeah, I kinda feel like action sequences can be kinda boring update-to-update in webcomics like this. I know I've followed enough webcomics through the years and it can be rough getting a page at a time of something that should be going down in a few seconds. They're really the kind of thing that reads better all together.

Can't be helped, but I will say that there's only one page left of this fight.

As for non-Space Cat stuff, I'm still finishing up Muh Phoenix! I know I'm like 2 weeks late at this point but I'm trying! It's a combination of the usual "I'm busier than I thought!" excuse and just me wanting to kinda get this right since it's the last one. I wanna say one more week, but I don't wanna a jinx I won't.

And of course after that, we're back to Hard-Mode, so stay tuned.

Action Cat

Check those moves, bruh. I guess that's why they call him the Space Cat amirite??

...yeah that doesn't make sense, that's not how jokes work.

I feel kind of bad that the second update of the return is just an action shot, I know it doesn't advance the story much but you gotta have these little action sequences sometimes.

Also I really wanted to get a blurb from Tate for this update since we didn't have one last week....but I forgot to ask him until this morning and he probably didn't see the e-mail in time.

So yeah, my b.

I'm kinda bummed I didn't have the last issue of Muh Phoenix done for this week, but this weekend turned out to be crazy busy (friend of mine left for another a country and I had to attend all the farewell festivities) and I didn't really get much work done on it. Hopefully it'll be done by next week, I should have more time this weekend (especially with all my friends/distractions leaving the country lately, geeze...)

Again, for those who haven't been keeping up, Hard-Mode is coming back, it's just a matter of finishing off Muh Phoenix first so I can focus more completely on the comic. So stay tuned for an official announcement.

Anyway, see you next week!

Space Cat Returns

At long last, our story resumes, and an inevitable showdown commences.

I'm not going to pretend like it was on purpose, but I feel like luckily that hiatus happened at a pretty decent cliffhanger moment, so all in all it could be worse. Of course, seven or so updates from now would've probably been better, but we won't get into that now, cuz y'know, spoilers.

I will say that we're close to closing off the next act of Space Cat, and once we've done that it's kind of full speed ahead to the finale, which should be exciting.

For those who've missed my last few blog posts/tweets, Space Cat now updates every Thursday! We have a pretty decent buffer right now, so I don't see any reason why there should be any delays in the near future (if anything it'll just be because I forget to upload it on time.)

Sadly I don't have any words from Tate right now (completely forgot to bother him for something like that, way to bone-up the revival, me...) but I'll be sure to get some words from him soon. In any case, see you next week with a new Space Cat, and hopefully the final issue of Muh Phoenix!

Space Cat: The Story Thus Far

Just a quick recap I threw together to get everyone caught up again on all the plot threads for Space Cat's return tomorrow.

Not much else to say besides that (I just had a blog post yesterday, yeesh!) but I'm excited to have this comic moving again. Once we get to the ending I think people are going to see how it all pays off.

Anyway, see you tomorrow with the real thing!

Nuzlocke Comics Rises from the Ashes: Muh Phoenix Rounds 9 & 10

The triumphant return of Nuzlocke Comics! Rejoice..!

...but lets not pretend this isn't a little awkward. I don't really want to dwell on why site went through that hiatus there, it happened, and now it's hopefully over. I'm not even going to TOUCH on those 4000 or so comments on my last blog post either, haha, I couldn't even bring myself to read them it bummed me out so much. I will say that I was definitely feeling overwhelmed, which I now think I can safely attribute to all the side projects I find myself starting whenever I find free time. Which brings me to my next point:

I'm cleaning my plate.

Doing Hard-Mode, Space Cat, Speedrun, Muh Phoenix, Middle Earth Diaries (wait that was a thing?), and my secret project all at the same time was a pretty stupid idea. There's nothing more paralyzing than knowing you have like 5 different things you should be doing, and it kinda just makes you not want to do any of them. My #1 priority for this site going forward is to finish Hard-Mode Season 3, but to do that, I can't be weighed down by these distractions.

So that's where I've been at recently, trying to finish everything else so I can get back to Hard-Mode. For those who didn't catch my tweet the other day, Space Cat resumes on Thursday, and it'll continue to update every Thursday from then on (assuming no art delays.) I finished up the last of the Space Cat scripts and sent them off to Tate a few months ago, so the bulk of my involvement in that project is done. That takes care of one. (Though there's always the possiblity of the story continuing past the ending I've written.)

As for Muh Phoenix, I really strugged for a while with these two issues. It's actually pretty easy to edit these comics when you have plenty of dialogue scenes and diverse locations and characters to work with, but as you near the ends of these Marvel events the last few issues inevitably become kind of saturated with long drawn out fight scenes. Those aren't quite so easy to make funny, so I definitely had my work cut out for me. Hopefully you guys get a kick out of it.

There's only two issues left in the event after these two, and I've gone ahead and combined them into one final issue that I hope will be done by next week (I'm near the end.)

...uh, as for Middle Earth Diaries, though, that's probably dead. I don't remember if I've ever commented on that before, but yeah, it was a fun side project for a minute there but I just doesn't seem like the interest is out there within the fandom, and it's pretty time intensive to create. Maybe it'll come back someday if I get REALLY bored, but don't hold your breath.

So yeah, Hard-Mode fans, just a little while longer. If things go right (and they never do but whatever) then it'll probably be back come September. In the mean time, look forward to Space Cat and the final issue of Muh Phoenix next week!
