Really can't wait to be done with them, I haven't finished a comic in weeks (thank God I have a little more buffer left...) 

Oh yeah, and I guess I need to get around to my real life obligations too. I forget about that stuff sometimes, but whatever, real life, who needs it.

I really don't have much else to say in this post, other than that I'm thinking of doing an AMA on Reddit in the near future (did I already mention this in a previous post? I might have...) I might even get 8 whole questions if I'm lucky! It should be a fun ego-killer for me, God knows we can't let me get all big-headed about e-fame. (Also if I do this please don't ruin my life 4chan!)

What else is new... I guess I could talk about TV or something? It's sort of relevant, given the amount of LOST references I pump out (do the kids still watch the TV? Am I old?)

Keeping up with Game of Thrones, continues to be the best show on TV (though when Breaking Bad comes back that might change...) I know I'm really late to the party on this but I've just recently started watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. Everyone's talkin about the Korra these days, and I figured I should catch up. Gotta say it doesn't disappoint, really wish we had a show like this when I was a kid. (Also Zuko calm down, there are other emotions besides anger, dude.) Lets see... Oh, I'd been waiting for Eastbound & Down's final season to air for a while, and just recently I found out it not only already started, but ended like over a month ago. Whoops. Gotta find a way to watch that.

Well now that I've successfully bored you with my television habits, I think I can end this post.

I hope people enjoy this update, I think it's my favorite of Episode 1. I think this is a good example of one of the positives of the new update schedule, sure you might get some measely 4 panel updates, but every once in a while you'll get a longer one. AND YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHEN. Embrace the suspense. 

To be clear, I don't hate Oshawott. Well, not anymore. When he was first revealed though, oh dear... I was almost offended. I still believe he is the stupidest looking starter to be introduced in the Pokémon series, and easily among the stupidest looking designs of all Pokémon as well, but eh.... He's sort of grown on me. It's kind of like pugs, where they're so ugly they're cute.

I wanted to pick Oshawott for a few reasons:
1) I hadn't picked water yet.
2) I like his stat distribution and movepool a lot more than the other two.
3) Like it says in the comic, I thought it would be funny.

I already did two seasons where Ruby picked the starter he thought was the coolest, and I thought it would be fun to mix it up and have him pick the one he hated the most for once. Afterall, isn't the Nuzlocke Challenge all about learning to appreciate the 'mons you previously hated/ignored? It seemed fitting to me. 

I should admit, however, that the situation "out" of game didn't actually take place, it just seemed like a convenient excuse to get Ruby to do something out of character. (And to get some browny points with my girlfriend by giving her a small yet fictional cameo. Because everyone knows drawing comics about children's games is the most surefire way to get girls......Oh god no that was that other thing without the pikachus fuck fuck I've made a terrible mistake I'm going to die alone)



I know it was kind of a deviation from the usual formula to include this, and it's something I don't plan on doing again, at least not soon. I'm still kind of afraid I jumped the shark with this (When was the last time Ruby aware he was in a video game, anyway? The very first panel of the original Ruby comic?)

Anyway, I really need to get to sleep, I have to get up early tomorrow for Mother's Day and I have a shitload of homework to finish before Monday that I never got a chance to start....

First, I'd like to apologize for taking so long to get this uploaded. I wish I had a good excuse, but the honest truth is... I forgot. It's only about 11 AM on Thursday here, but I know my time zone is relatively pretty lazy. Again, sorry!

I'm kind of busy today, so this is going to be a short post (which seems to be the norm rather than the exception these days.) I think you guys are really going to like Sunday's comic, it's probably my favorite of Episode 1. Pretty sure it's the longest too.

Not much else to say, other than I've had some T-shirt ideas buzzing around in my head recently, so you might be seeing some desperately needed additions to the shop soon, if I can find the time that is... (This quarter is killing me...)

Anyway, as usual not much to say, to be honest nothing is really new with me. I've spent most of the week nerdgasming over the whole Planetary Resources announcement, and the implications it makes about our lifetime and future. Did I mention I'm excited? Who else wants to be an asteroid miner? Oh, what? Drones will be doing it all? Robots have all the fun... as usual...

In other news unrelated to me or this comic, a super excellent web comic you might have heard of called Axe Cop just announced that they will have an animated series on FOX. I love this comic, and I love this news. I hope it translates well into cartoon. Congrats to the Nicolles! To go from web comics to television... that's crazy. (What? Jealous? Me?... Okay maybe a little.... a lot.)

Anyway, enough about not-me, I hope you guys are enjoying White: Hard-Mode so far, even if it's moving a little slow.

The coloring in this one is a little different from what we've seen so far, and you can expect to see the rest of White: Hard-Mode in a similar style (well, at least up to Episode 3, I'm not much farther than that.)

Sorry to anyone who was expecting/hoping for Johto or Sinnoh, but honestly I'm just not a big fan of Sinnoh and I thought Johto would be a bit too much of a retread after Kanto.

...I really don't have much new to say from last time. Is this what it's going to be like updating so frequently? That's going to be awkward... Oh whatever, most people probably don't even read these posts anyway.

If you're wondering about the stagnation in the fan comics it's because they're kind of indefinitely on hold for the moment. I'm still looking for someone to upload them for me, but until I find someone who can fill that position they're just kind of going to stay as is. I know, I suck. I should have known that my plan was doomed to fail when it was, well me, who did the planning. The ol' nuz-luck...

I should probably mention, like the Epilogue for FireRed: Hard-mode, this new comic will still be updated in "Episodes", but those episodes will be updated in smaller segments over time. For now I'm trying to keep updating in these segments twice a week, Sundays and Thursdays.

This new format is my attempt to avoid the long spells of no updates coming to the site, but it also allows me to include things I would normally have to cut for pacing/space reasons. I'm sad to move away from the old "Episode" style, but it just wasn't feasable for me to complete them on time while busy with school.

Anyway, the next update will be going up on Thursday, and I promise it will be less lame than this one. I hope the new style works out, I think you guys are really going to like it once it picks up.

As usual I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting, but I should really get to sleep.

So Epilogue Part 7 is now up, and that means FireRed: Hard-Mode is finally, completely finished.

...it feels weird to write that, maybe because I was always half convinced I would never get it done. It couldn't have happened at a better time either, because class starts up for me on Monday and I might be in the middle of changing my major... again.

But there's no rest for the wicked, I'll probably be getting to work on season 3 almost immediately, though you won't see anything for a while. I'm hoping to stockpile enough comics to avoid my usual update (or lack thereof) schedule.

The good news is the fan comics section should be complete soon, I'd say it'll be another week at the latest. I think you guys are going to like it.

Anyway it's the middle of the night and my house is goddamn freezing, I'm sure I'll have more to say when the fan comics section is complete.

Ugh, so yeah, I'm late. I was really hoping I could keep a schedule for longer than two weeks, but so far that seems to be the magic number for when I fuck up. FUCKING NEW YEARS. I really tried to finish it before the end of the 1st, but unfortunately I was about 3 hours late even in my time zone.

But anyway, Epilogue Part 6 is now up. I'm not really sure how I feel about this one, I feel like it's maybe the most uninspired of the entire Epilogue. Probably because while I'd sort of been planning most of the Epilogue out in my head for a long time now, this one was kind of thrown in at the last minute. (Also part of why this one was a tad late, I recently rewrote the ending to the epilogue because I wasn't happy with my old outline. BUT ENOUGH EXCUSES.)

Epilogue Part 7 will be the end of the epilogue, and it's going to be just a wee bit longer than the other parts, so hopefully I can get it out on time. After that we may be seeing a bit of a hiatus I'm sad to say. Pokemon: Hard-Mode isn't ending, there's going to be one more season, but it won't start up immediately after the FireRed epilogue wraps up. This is because I'm completely fed up with my inability to maintain a convenient regular update schedule, and I refuse to start uploading new comics until I'm sure I can handle my shit.

So yeah, it's not necessarily a break for me, but more like a break for the site. I'll be starting on the 3rd season almost immediately after the epilogue ends, but I won't be posting any of the updates until I've amassed enough comics to give myself a bit of leeway, because goddamn, I need it.

Hopefully the fan comics section will be ready soon, so that there will at least be new content coming to the site in between seasons.

Anyway, I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting because it's the middle of the night and I'm dying of what could be allergies or sickness (who can tell anymore?) but I'll see yall later.

If this works then my new site layout if finally online, and it only took 6 months longer than I thought it would! (That's not bad, in Nuzlocke time...)

I really wanted to get this up before the finale was posted, but you know how we do at nuzlocke.com: we always fuck up.

First of all, I'd like to give a big "FUCK YOU" to 110mb hosting, who caused this whole process to take months longer than it should have. Please, never give them your service, they delight in dicking you around for ages with no payoff. A2 hosting on the other hand, I wuv you... (For now...)

Next, I should probably talk about the fan comics. The short answer is they're not ready yet. This is because I'm trying to do something a little ambitious with the new fan comics page: I'm trying to get ALL of the fan comics from the forum onto the main site. That's A LOT of comics if you didn't know, which is why it's taking a little while. Super cool fabulous forum moderator Lyrical is on the case though, so give her your patience, for the price I'm paying her to do it it's practically slave labor.

Which brings me to my next point, everyone should probably stop using nuzlocke@hotmail.com to contact me. There isn't really a good reason for this, besides that I never, EVER check it. I wish I did, and I've tried, but I've found I just don't, it's the formspring page all over again. So if you want your fan comics on the main site, make an appropriate thread in the appropriate forum and it will eventually get thrown in with the rest. This goes for people who emailed me shit months ago that still hasn't gone up yet too, I'm sorry, but just make a thread and it will probably be up quicker than it would have if I'd gone through all the emails, and you'll probably get more exposure and feedback than you would have the regular way.

If you really need to get ahold of me, the absolute best way to do it is probably to send me a private message on the forums. I check that fairly frequently. At least bi-daily.

Another thing worth mentioning is that I don't believe there's a comment feature on the new site (though I could be wrong.) I'm sure some of you will miss this, and to some extent I will too (though I definitely won't be missing the neverending flood of basketball jersey, movie download and penis enlargement spam that has been making itself comfortable in my inbox for the past 2 years....) Everyone will just have to discuss the new comics on the forums I guess, which will probably better in the long run anyway. I think the discussion can only improve.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something to include in my super important first blog post, but whatever, I have all the posts in the world to talk about my bullshit.

I think I'll end this with a little picture you might have noticed in Epilogue Part 4. I figure some of you might like to see it in full size, as it ended up being VERY small in the actual comic. Enjoy 'The Creation of Red.'
